Arsenal flew out of the gates in the game with Bayern Munich this evening - with a blistering opening ten minutes that had the undisputed best team in world football rocking at the back.
The pace of Yaya Sanogo and Alex Oxlade-chamberlain was troubling the Bayern back four - who continually got caught out in the opening sparring as The Gunners looked to do what Liverpool did to them in their recent league fixture at Anfield - and completely blow them away from the start.
In the end it paid off.
Jack Wilshere played an inventive ball through into the path of Mesut Ozil - whose clever trick left Jerome Boateng rooted, and Ozil could only fall over his international team-mate to earn his team a penalty,
But when Ozil stepped up to take the pen fans collectively winced. The German had already missed an awful attempt from 12 yards against Marseille earlier in the competition - and again he opted for a stop start run-up against childhood friend Manuel Neuer.
The result was a poor attempt - easily batted away by the right arm of the German number one.
And one goalkeeper who seemed to enjoy the moment was a young Tottenham keeper - clearly knowing where his loyalties lie in these situations.
Chilean under-20 stopper Lawrence Vigouroux is a highly rated young custodian at White Hart Lane - and was clearly hoping that Neuer did the trick against his bitter local rivals.

The NextGen keeper will hope that he one day gets the chance to do similar for Spurs.
