Manchester United need to reinvest in their defence this summer, with the likes of Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra all out of contract in the summer.
The likes of Leighton Baines and Fabio Coentrao have been linked with a move to Old Trafford to fulfill the left-back role, but the trail of both of these stars seems to have run cold.
As such a number of other left-backs have been linked with the Manchester side, with The Daily Mail today suggesting that David Moyes is weighing up a move for Marcos Rojo.
The Sporting Lisbon defender has played his part in the capital city side putting forward a domestic title charge for the first time in a number of seasons.
Rojo is a versatile full-back that is renowned for his abilities on the front foot, who can also slot in at centre-half at a push.
The 23-year-old signed for the Portuguese side from Spartak Moscow in 2012, and has been one of Sporting’s most consistent players.
With 19 Argentina caps to his name, Rojo has every chance of representing his nation at this summer’s World Cup.
