Napoli’s owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is quoted saying: ‘He is not in our plans. We have reinforcements in that role and we will not play checkers with some of our own players.’
However, the player’s representative Chris Megaloudis has hinted that he may not be on the move any time soon, with the report quoting French outlet L’Equipe: ‘We do not want him to be a globetrotter. He must first complete a full season [at Anderlecht].'
Reports have been circulating that Italy boss Cesare Prandelli could be in line to take over at White Hart Lane after the World Cup.
The Evening Standard cites sources in Italy saying there was contact between the club’s hierarchy and the Italian when Andre Villas-Boas was sacked in December.
Some may think it is harsh on Tim Sherwood if the side were to continue the good form it has shown under him from now until the end of the season.
The Belgian defender is quoted saying: ‘I feel good where I am now and hopefully I’ll keep going. I did everything to come back as quickly as possible. You have to be careful not to come back too early and I feel better and better, I thought I had a good game against Everton and that I’m getting back to my best level.’
