Arsenal v Bayern: Injury Latest and Team News

Arsenal take on Bayern Munich, who is fit to start and who will miss out?

Here are the latest injury and suspension updates ahead of the big game:

Thomas Vermaelen - The Belgian missed training yesterday and will not be back in time to feature. He picked up a knee injury in the FA Cup clash with Spurs a month ago and hasn't figured since.

Mikel Arteta - Mikel Arteta is serving a one match suspension after being sent off in the final group game against Napoli and will be eligible for the second leg.

Tomas Rosicky - Rosicky missed the FA Cup clash with Liverpool with a minor knock, but Arsene Wenger confirmed he was available for selection against Bayern, and it will likely come down to a decision between him and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Aaron Ramsey - The Welshman is Arsenal's biggest miss for the tie, having been out the majority of 2014. It was reported he has stepped up his return to fitness, but is aiming for the clash with Chelsea at the end of March and will miss the return match against Bayern also.

Theo Walcott - Remains sidelined with a long-term knee injury and is expected to be out for the season.

Bayern Munich

Bastian Schweinsteiger - The German midfielder, 29, has missed most of the year with an injury, and is likely to start the game on the bench. He featured for half an hour against Freiburg at the weekend, and illustrates the club's strength in depth.

Franck Ribery - French sensation Franck Ribery is back in training for Bayern, but is expected to miss the first leg after a recent operation.

Xherdan Shaqiri - Shaqiri had been a contender to deputise for Ribery, but he too was injured over the weekend and has been ruled out of the game. Thomas Muller could switch positions to feature out wide.
