£15m Brazilian is Bayern's secret goalscoring weapon v Arsenal

Arsenal will have to beware of Brazilian defender Dante at set pieces when they face Bayern Munich in midweek.

Arsenal's defence will need to be on high alert for 90 minutes against a ruthless Bayern Munich side, who have goalscorers all over the pitch.

No player emphasises that more so than Brazilian centre-back Dante, who will come into the game of a rich run of goalscoring form.

The 30-year-old has scored three goals in his last four games, in wins over Eintracht Frankfurt, Hamburg and Freiburg, the last of which can be seen below.

One of Arsenal centre-backs Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny will have to pay him particular attention from set pieces, with his confidence likely to inspire him he can bag more.

Aerially he is an imposing figure, his average of 3.3 aerial duels won per game in the second highest in Bayern Munich's squad, behind only Daniel van Buyten who has started only six games.

In the past four games, crucially he has helped Bayern to keeping four clean sheets, in fact they have conceded just two times in the last nine matches.

Arsenal will no doubt have their hands full trying to stop the likes of Arjen Robben, Mario Gotze and Mario Mandzukic, but if they under-estimate Dante's threat it will be at their peril.
