United morning news: Vidic’s new club ‘revealed’; staff back in Portugal to scout midfielder

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Nemanja Vidic recently revealed he would be leaving Manchester United at the end of the season, but where would he end up?

He has been linked with a number of destinations including Russia, Spain and Italy, and it appears he could be booking a flight to the latter with Goal reporting that he has agreed to join Inter Milan.

The Serie A club have been hotly tipped to make a move for the Serbian centre-back, and now Goal claim a deal was agreed after United’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal last week.

Questions have already been asked as to whether or not it is time for Vidic to leave the club he has served so well – and it would be ironic if a player deemed past his best by some agreed a deal to Italy shortly after putting in an excellent performance to keep the Gunners at bay.

In other news, Portuguese newspaper A Bola reports that David Moyes yet again sent scouts to watch William Carvalho in action for Sporting Lisbon at the weekend.

The scouting missions to see that particular side are now into double figures, with another reported United target – Carlos Mane – netting the only goal of the game against Olhanense
