Pep Guardiola looked genuinely concerned when he had to take Xherdan Shaqiri off over the weekend.
Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri threw down a great claim to start against Arsenal with a brace against FC Freiburg over the weekend.
However, following his goalscoring exploits, he promptly picked up a thigh problem and had to be taken off by Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola who looked a little concerned.
Fortunately for the German and European champions, they have one of the best squads of players in the Bundesliga and Champions League, with some fans suggesting the injury makes no difference to the team Guardiola is planning to use on Wednesday night.
However, Bayern have just published a photo through their Twitter account of the former Barca boss talking to his player after the substitution with a genuine look of concern, which could hint that he was planning to use Shaqiri against the Gunners.
It’s a blow for the 22-year-old Swiss because with Franck Ribery ruled out of the game, there was a midfield spot up for grabs which will now be filled by someone else.
