This morning, Arsenal fans will be purring about the performance of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Liverpool fans will be wondering how his challenge on Luis Suarez did not result in a penalty.
So let's deal with the elephant in the room first and go from there: Suarez did go down theatrically, but the Arsenal winger caught him and it should have been a spot-kick.
Yet Gunners' fans - or at least most of them - were not thinking about that when they took to Twitter to praise the young man's performance on Sunday.
Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the first, calmly netting when the ball fell to him in a crowded area, and set up the second, collecting a one-two and laying the ball perfectly for Lukas Podolski to knock home.
The 20-year-old also had an 87% pass-completion rate and made 23 passes in total. He also made two interceptions in a defensive capacity.
The Gunners now move on to a quarter-final against Everton, while Liverpool can bemoan their bad luck and look ahead to a league campaign that still has a chance of ending in triumph.
Below are a selection of tweets regarding the Ox:
