Goals from Lacina Traore, Steven Naismith and Leighton Baines (from the penalty spot) sent the Swans crashing out of the cup, despite a first-half equaliser from Jonathan de Guzman.
Neil Taylor made a crucial error to allow Naismith to poke Everton in front once again, before Jazz Richards brought the same player down for the spot-kick that Baines converted to make it 3-1.
But it was a different man who attracted the Swansea fans' ire after the defeat: striker Alvaro Vazquez.
And according to some supporters, the term 'striker' isn't even correct, with the Spaniard having not scored once in 19 games for the Swans all season.
Vazquez looked particularly short of confidence at Goodison Park, wasting a good opportunity to put Swansea ahead just minutes into the FA Cup clash. Several times thereafter, the 22-year-old was also too nervous to get on to the end of a number of Roland Lamah crosses into the box.
Vazquez should probably avoid Twitter for the next few days if he wants to get his confidence levels back up, as the Swansea fans have not been too kind...

The decision to loan Vazquez when Borini was available is almost criminal. Hate criticising players but he's really really poor.— Trouty (@troutyscfc) February 16, 2014
Naismith going off because he said he don't know what he's doing? What the hell is Vazquez still on for then— Nathan Doyle (@DoyleesTheJack) February 16, 2014

Does anyone want to start a petition to prevent Alvaro Vazquez from playing football again for the rest of time?— Tom Miles (@tmiles94) February 16, 2014
Alvaro Vazquez is the worst striker in Britain!! He'd struggle in the Spar Mid Wales— Daniel Tate (@danielrobintate) February 16, 2014
Currently better odds for Bony to score next than Alvaro Vazquez.— Simon Hurford (@SimonHurf) February 16, 2014
Alvaro Vazquez. A player short of confidence...and ability...and any necessary attributes needed to play football— Josh Kil (@joshkilmister) February 16, 2014
What did you make of Vazquez's performance against Everton?
