A round up of this morning’s news stories about Arsenal.
Arsenal have been handed a boost through the news that Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri will not face them in London this week.
Shaqiri picked up a thigh problem as he starred in Bayern’s win against Freiburg yesterday.
The Swiss star is unlikely to have started the Champions League match at the Emirates but removes an impact option Pep Guardiola could have used off the bench.
Arsenal are world famous for their passing style of play, which is similar to the style used by a lot of Spanish teams.
“I think Arsenal still play the best football in England. They play in a style in the way that most emulates what we do at Barcelona – and what is in our opinion the right way to approach the game,” Iniesta told the press.
Mikel Arteta has called for unity at Arsenal ahead of important matches for the club.
Arteta has revealed that everyone at Arsenal has to stick together as they go through a slight blip, with several wanting the side to fail.
“Some people have been waiting for us to crash and when you crash obviously you’re going to get headlines but we know where we are - We can’t afford to have any breaks between the squad, manager, directors and the supporters,” he told Arsenal’s website.
