James Rodriguez scored two brilliant goals for Monaco in a 2-0 league win against Bastia.
Rodriguez bagged a brace, the only goals of the game, which allowed his current employers to close the gap on Paris Saint-Germain who are currently sitting pretty at the top of the table.
It was his first goal, which we’ve decided to cover because it was an absolute bullet of a free kick.
It’s easy to see based on this evidence why Monaco parted with €45 million to sign him and why Manchester United have reportedly always kept an eye on him.
It’s unlikely that he’ll be leaving French football any time soon but the Colombian midfielder is still only 22-years-old which means United may get a chance to sign him in the future.
We’ve included the free kick at the top of the article and his second goal below.
