Arsenal youngster Kaylen Hinds produced a superb performance for England’s under-16s as they defeated Belgium 3-2 in a UEFA Development Tournament.
The 16-year-old striker captained the side and bagged a brace which will give him confidence heading back to the Gunners over the rest of the season. The win follows a positive result against Denmark after an opening defeat at the hands of Spain.
His first effort showed good touch just outside the Belgium penalty area although it was a scrappy strike, which was probably a little lucky to find the bottom corner of the goal.
His second showcased the sort of predatory instinct which would be useful in the Arsenal first team at the moment, as he leapt on a mistake from the Belgium defence before firing the ball home.
Hinds has made just one appearance for Arsenal in the UEFA Youth League this season but if he can maintain this sort of form then it won’t be too long before he gets another chance.
