Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Spurs linked with moves for Serie A and Eredivisie midfielders

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs are being linked with a move for African midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.

The 23-year-old has been enjoying a break through season in Serie A with Udinese, scoring for the side last weekend.

Reports suggest Spurs will face strong competition from Arsenal if they decide to go for him.

Another player Tottenham have been strongly linked with is Ajax’s 20-year-old Davy Klaassen.

The attacking midfielder is reportedly viewed as one of Ajax’s best young prospects in the Eredivisie.

He’s been rated at around the £5 million mark which is a gamble the North London club may be willing to make.

Head coach Tim Sherwood says he’s delighted with the form Emmanuel Adebayor is showing.

The striker bagged a brace in a 4-0 win against Newcastle last night, continuing his return to form after missing out under Andre Villas-Boas.

“I've seen him be fantastic for many clubs and we are delighted he's in great form for us. His concentration and the way he trains is magnificent and he's been a joy to work with and a credit to himself and us since he's come back in,” he told the press.
