A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

The Metro has suggested that the Blues will offer £20 million plus Fernando Torres to sign Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa.

Torres originally moved to England from the Spanish club and has always maintained his love and admiration for the La Liga high flyers.

Costa has been linked with several high profile moves away from Spain, with Arsenal and Chelsea thought to be interested in England.

The Mirror has suggested that Barcelona are ready to launch a £22 million bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz.

The Brazilian was linked with a move to the Nou Camp last summer, revealing that an approach had been knocked back for his services.

However, that doesn’t seem to have deterred the Spanish champions who will reportedly try and complete a big money deal after the World Cup.

England boss Roy Hodgson will not try and talk John Terry out of international retirement.

Speculation had been building that Terry could be offered a place in England’s World Cup squad this summer following consistent performances for Chelsea.

“The door isn't open (for Terry) because he has retired from international football. John has retired and as far as I am concerned that is the situation,” said Hodgson.
