The German international has been making the headlines recently for his recent activities away from the Emirates stadium – much to the delight of the Gunners’ support.
From riding double-decker buses, shooting the Gunners’ cannon to relaxing outside his house in the pouring rain, you can sense why the Gunner’s forward is fast becoming a popular figure in North London.
Following another photo involving the German, Podolski has this time shown that he has affection beyond his witty humour – by encrypting a message into his boots in support of his fellow German Michael Schumacher.
The message reads “kämpfe michael #getwellsoon” and Podolski will hope to get the chance to show it off during Arsenal’s massive clash with Manchester United at the Emirates stadium on Wednesday.
The much-awaited clash comes at a difficult time for both clubs, as Manchester United fell further behind fourth spot with a disappointing draw at home to Fulham whereas the Gunners were thrashed away at Liverpool.
Despite Arsenal’s disappointment at Anfield, Chelsea’s draw at West Bromwich Albion has given the Gunners the opportunity to reclaim top spot – incentive for Podolski and co to really take the game to United.
Lukas Podolski will be hoping his new Schumacher-encrypted Adidas boots will help him add to his current total of three Premier League goals and fire the Gunners back to the top of the table.
