Titanfall Closed Beta – Sign up NOW!

Titanfall

What better way to begin your Valentine’s weekend, than with the beta for the upcoming mech-em-up-FPS, Titanfall!

From today Respawn Entertainment and EA are summoning you to sign up and register for the chance to be a part of the upcoming Titanfall close beta. This Valentine's Day, Friday 14th Feb, will see the start of the beta for Xbox One and PC owners – to register for your chance to be part of this vist the official website.

Titanfall is set to be one of this year’s biggest releases, and there has been plenty of buzz surrounding it since it’s announcement last year.

The game takes place in the near future, and is set in the middle of a war between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. On foot you will be able to perform free-running style wall-runs and double jumps... until you call down and pilot your Titan to alter the situation entirely. Titans are huge 24-foot tall mechs which can be called upon and piloted when you really want to mix things up a bit.

In the beta you will have access to three game modes – Attrition, Hard Point Domination, and Last Titan Standing:

Attrition – teams will win by annihilating the opposing team’s pilots, titans, and AI soliders

Hardpoint Domination – teams must capture and hold three hardpoints located around the map, to earn points and win.

Last Titan Standing – a round-based mode where each player on both teams begins the match piloting a titan. The round ends once one team’s titans have all been destroyed – no extra titans can be called, and there are no respawns.

Titanfall is due for release on 11th March 2014 in North America, and 14th March 2014 in the UK, for the Xbox One and PC. The Xbox 360 version of the game is due for 25th March in North America and 28th March 2014 in Europe.

Have you signed up for the beta? Do you think the addition of Titans to an FPS such as this will boost the genre? Let us know in the comments below!
