Readers of Le10Sport have suggested that Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris would be better off elsewhere.
Olivier Giroud suggested Hugo Lloris would be interested in joining Arsenal and the goalkeeper has denied it but that may not be the end of the speculation.
French website Le10Sport created a poll, asking fans where they thought Lloris should be playing his football and the French supporters who took part didn’t suggest either club.
They voted that Lloris should be the main target for Barcelona, with Victor Valdes never going back on his decision to leave the club at the end of the season.
Fortunately for Tottenham fans, it looks more likely that Barcelona will offer Marc-Andre ter Stegen a contract instead after he turned down a contract renewal at Borussia Monchengladbach which suggests he could be sold in the summer.
Arsenal received 25% of the vote, which is unsurprising considering the club’s obvious French connection while French giants Paris Saint-Germain weighed in with 21% of the vote.
There were some out of the 1051 who took part (at the time of writing) who suggested that Lloris would be best served by staying at Tottenham Hotspur, with 11% considering Spurs the ideal destination for the Frenchman.
“I heard about that (Giroud's interview). I think maybe some words were twisted, but it is embarrassing. I don't think that, I'm very focused on Spurs' ambition and I am very pleased to play for Spurs,” said Lloris on the Spurs website.
“I have too much respect for the club and the Spurs fans to think that kind of thing.”
It doesn’t look like he’s going to listen to the opinions of Le10Sport users any time soon.
