21-year-old whizkid Joao Teixeira could make his Liverpool debut tonight against Fulham after being named on the bench at Craven Cottage.
The youngster signed from Sporting Lisbon two seasons ago, and has impressed for the under-21s this season, scoring five goals in seven starts.
Brendan Rodgers hinted yesterday the player previously dubbed the 'next Deco' could feature, stating to the Liverpool Echo:
"I have contact with Alex Inglethorpe on a daily basis and Joao has been one of the outstanding performers for the reserves.
"I always observe in training and see where players are at and Joao has looked very good. His intensity, the speed of his game – he has undoubted quality and he has showed up very well. We have brought in a number of young players to be around the squad."
