Announced last month, Evolve is a sci-fi multiplayer shooter where a team of four players control hunters, who must work together to hunt and kill a player-controlled monster. The game takes place in the futre, on the alien planet Shear - whilst playing a hunter you will be in a first-person view, but as the monster the player will be in a third-person view. Which sounds identical to Left 4 Dead’s Tank battles – if it ain’t broke why fix it, eh!?
The hunters come in four classes – Trapper; Support; Assault; and Medic. So far only the Goliath monster has been announced, but you can level up in the game to unlock new characters, upgrades, skins, and perks – so we’ll keep our eyes open for any updates on new monsters.
You can check out some screenshots and watch the reveal trailer below, which flexes it’s digital-pecks in the visuals department, and the music is equally brilliant.
The hunters, presumably hunting...
Any idea why they call it Goliath?
He's all bark and no bite, honest.
Seasick Steve, is that you!?
Next-gen footage, sexy!
Evolve will be released in Autumn 2014, and will be available on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Head on over to the official website to pre-order the game.
