Italian fourth division side Vigor Lamezia scored a bizarre winning goal on a barely playable pitch against Tuttocuoio 1957.
On a wet and windy night in Tuscany, a small crowd of lower league football fans saw one of the oddest goals of the season.
Home side AC Tuttocuoio 1957 from the town of San Miniato near Pisa were undone by a freak 70-yard deflection, which was enough to win Vigor Lamezia the game.
Midfielder Domenico Zampaglione went in for a slide tackle well within his own half and saw the ball fly up in the air and get carried by the wind across the pitch to beat the opposing goalkeeper.
It was to prove the only goal of the game and Tuttocuoio boss Massimiliano Alvini struggled to see the funny side.
"It's a heavy and unjust defeat. Maybe it would've been a draw without that goal but neither of us can play football on such a disgraceful pitch."
