With Nemanja Vidic’s revelation that he will not sign a new contract with Manchester United and is leaving at the end of the season, the Old Trafford outfit will be in the market for at least one new centre-half this summer.
David Moyes’ men have been repeatedly linked with a host of defenders from across Europe – but a reported Arsenal target is being touted as a potential target for the Manchester club today.
Marseille defender Nicolas N'Koulou has grown in stature at the Ligue 1 club over the last number of seasons, and is perceived as one of the Stade Velodrome side’s most consistent performers.
The Cameroon international has been gained plaudits and catching the eye of European scouts as a result, with Arsenal a team linked with N'Koulou on a number of occasions in the past.
Marseille have recently admitted that some of their prominent players could leave in the summer to facilitate a rebuilding phase, which could open the door to an exit for the African defender.
The People are today suggesting that N'Koulou is one of a number of players on David Moyes’ shortlist as a potential replacement for Vidic, and that the Scotsman will weigh up a summer move for the 23-year-old.
N'Koulou joined Marseille from Monaco back in 2011, and has had the opportunity to play Champions League football for his current employers.
