Santi Cazorla has opened up to his footballing life at Arsenal with French media outlet BFMTV, indicting Arsenal are ready to achieve great things in the Champions League and win trophies.
When questioned about French teammate and international Olivier Giroud he gave the striker a stunning critique.
The Spanish international was asked: 'Many of the greatest strikers in the world are in England. Where do you see your team-mate Olivier Giroud compared to Suarez, Eto'o or Rooney?'
He answered with confidence: 'For me he is on the same level as the other strikers in the league. He is sturdy and can keep the ball on the surface. He is effective either with his feet or head. it is a little different from what is done in England, but it brings us a lot.
Giroud has come under a lot of criticism recently from Arsenal fans, and a boost in confidence could do him the world of good.
To put him on the same level as Suarez and Rooney, I believe is a little naive. The Frenchman himself dismissed his ability was on the same level as Suarez and there aren't many that would disagree with him.
Despite that, he spent the majority of 2013 in fantastic form. However, since the turn of the year it seems he hasn't been getting the rub of the green.
I believe for a player that has had to play a lot of games without a rest, he has done a good job this season, however, he does need to prove himself in the big games.
A Manchester United side out-of-sorts could just be the ticket needed for him to grab a headline making goal.
