News broke last night that Bacary Sagna, along with Lukasz Fabianski, had rejected a third new contract offer to stay at Arsenal.
The French right-back has been going back and forth with the Gunners over a new deal for months and the club will now have to draft a fourth proposal if they want to stop Sagna leaving at the end of the season.
The Express suggests that the deal on the table for Sagna is a two-year contract worth £60,000 per week, with the 30-year-old thought to want a longer and more lucrative contract which will keep him at the club possibly for the rest of his career.
“Sagna feels he deserves much more, especially as he has not had a single pay rise since signing an improved deal in the summer of 2008. He also remained loyal to the club while a host of other stars left the trophyless club, including Gael Clichy Samir Nasri (Manchester City), Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona) and Robin van Persie (Manchester United)” reads the report in the Express.
Our question to Arsenal fans is simple; should your club offer Sagna a fourth deal or is time to let him leave in the summer and invest in someone else?
