Training 6 times a week again. Still enjoying it ;) pic.twitter.com/aJc4hneuA4— Ruud van Nistelrooy (@RvN1776) February 10, 2014
Former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is back in training.
The 37-year-old Dutchman is putting his boots on six times a week at the moment in order to stay fit and healthy as he continues his progression into a career of football coaching and management.
Van Nistelrooy bagged 95 league goals for Manchester United during his time at Old Trafford and as much as he may want to sort things out for his former side, it’s unlikely that he’ll be doing a Paul Scholes any time soon and coming out of retirement.
He confirmed last year that he was looking to complete his coaching badge qualifications before taking up a role with Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven, where he’s been working under a coaching internship.
In his prime, van Nistelrooy was one of the most lethal poachers in the world inside his own penalty, possessing the sort of goal threat United badly need Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney to produce over the rest of the season.
