Liverpool have been boosted through the return of defenders Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger to first team training.
Johnson has been out of action with various problems, as Brendan Rodgers previously revealed that the England international had been playing with injuries throughout the first half of the season.
Agger has been missing with a calf problem, which he picked up in the FA Cup win against Oldham Athletic.
It’s unclear at the moment as to whether either will play any part in the Premier League clash against Fulham tomorrow, with Rodgers reluctant to set a concrete return date for either player.
“Glen and Daniel have come back into training, which is brilliant for us. We will see how they go between now and Wednesday. They certainly look very strong in training,” Rodgers told the Liverpool Echo.
Both could be in line for returns to the match day squad for the massive FA Cup game against Arsenal this weekend but fans will have to wait until after the Fulham game and for Rodgers’ pre-weekend press conference.
It’s a big boost considering defensive reserves have been stretched at Liverpool in recent weeks and Agger’s return in particular, could pave the way for Martin Skrtel or Kolo Toure to be rested.
