Developers Slightly Mad announce that PC owners will be able to get their hands on their free-to-play AAA quality racing MMO game in 2014
Driving game specialist developer Slightly Mad have just announced that their new racing MMO, World of Speed will be coming to PC this year. The game will also be free-to-play as well.
Given that developers Slightly Mad are the people behind successful driving and racing games such as Test Drive, GTR and Need For Speed Shift so if it plays as good as it looks then this could be a good game to look our for.
In World of Speed, players will be given the opportunity to get in the driver’s seat of an endless garage of cars ranging from everyday city runners to the fastest and most insane super cars on the planet and have the chance to drive the most iconic cars from the history of auto racing. The developer promises that players will find themselves racing on true-to-life tracks spanning the globe as well as special tracks that cater for speed, speed and more speed. Cities featured in the game include London and San Francisco so expect to see famous landmarks go zooming by.
“At the heart of World of Speed lies a unique massive multiplayer online experience which incorporates a dynamic social elements and entirely new ways to compete in a racing video game - from an individual to a team level,” said Ian Bell, Chief Executive Officer of Slightly Mad Studios. “World of Speed is an online game and will be continuously supported with innovative and fresh content to keep the competition furious well after its launch.”
