United fans call for team change on Twitter: 'Why put your best player of the season on the bench?'

Manchester United drew 2-2 with Fulham on Sunday, with Adnan Januzaj turning the game temporarily in United's favour following his introduction.

Manchester United fans will have rarely seen a match quite like the one against Fulham.  While they are used to sides "parking the bus" at Old Trafford, Rene Meulensteen's men took that concept to a whole new level, defending in such numbers and so deeply that at times it appeared as though they were playing with a collection of differently-attired goalkeepers.

An exaggeration?  Perhaps. But ultimately the former United coach's plan worked, with Darren Bent scoring a late equaliser to see Fulham travel back to London with a point.

But what did United fans make of another hugely disappointing day for the reigning champions?  After all, they may have dominated possession, and they may have set a new Premier League record for the amount of crosses in a single game, but they still dropped further behind in the race for fourth spot - a race that is fast-becoming a lost cause.

We took to Twitter after the match to see what United fans were talking about, and one name came up more than most. That name was Adnan Januzaj, with the Belgian player coming off the bench to spark a temporary revival that saw Robin van Persie and Michael Carrick score the goals that almost gave their side the win.

Januzaj had one shot (off target), played one key pass and had a pass-completion rate of 92% during his time on the pitch. But it was his dynamism and energy that reinvigorated a United side who were relying on crosses that - however prominent - were clearly not doing the trick.

The common consensus from the tweets below is that Januzaj should start, whenever and wherever he is available. He may be young, but he also appears to remain David Moyes' best catalyst to spark his undeniably talented front-line into life.
