It could be argued that Tottenham have already had a good weekend – given Arsenal’s 5-1 hammering at the hands of Liverpool on Saturday. But in truth the Reds’ victory is not what Spurs would have wanted to see in relation to the race for fourth spot.
With the top four now beginning to distance themselves from the chasing-pack, Spurs cannot afford to slip up if they hold realistic aspirations of finally making it back into the Champions League.
Everton have overcome a number of injury problems and should be practically full strength for their visit to White Hart Lane. While Spurs welcome back Andros Townsend following his hamstring injury.
Tottenham have won just two of their last 13 league matches against the Toffees, while Roberto Martinez’s side has more points after 24 matches than any season since 1986-87.
Whoever wins this will take a big jump towards at least Europa League qualification. So…a draw then?
What do you think today’s result will be?
