CONFIRMED: Manchester United & Fulham line-ups

Here is how Manchester United and Fulham will line-up for this afternoon’s match at Old Trafford:

Manchester United starting XI: De Gea, Rafael, Smalling, Vidic, Evra, Mata, Young, Carrick, Fletcher, Rooney, van Persie

Subs: Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Giggs, Valencia, Kagawa, Januzaj, Hernandez

Fulham starting XI: Stekelenburg, Riether, Burn, Heitinga, Riise, Kvist, Tunnicliffe, Sidwell, Richardson, Holtby, Tankovic

Subs: Stockdale, Hangeland, Kacaniklic, Duff, Cole, Parker, Bent

With Liverpool winning yesterday, Manchester United simply cannot afford to drop any more points if they want to continue their excellent record of Champions League qualification.

Can they do that? Well, something will have to change, given the reigning champions performance's, particularly at home. It is time to turn Old Trafford into a fortress again, and not a nice day out for the visiting team.

Rene Meulensteen returns to Old Trafford with a Fulham side desperate for points of their own. Currently bottom of the table, the Cottagers will hope their new manager’s knowledge of United can help them to three points this afternoon.

For United, they need to hope the front-three of Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie starts clicking consistently, while the midfield and defence protect David de Gea behind them.

Fulham should give debuts to some of their January signings, while Nemanja Vidic returns for United following his suspension.

What do you think the result will be this afternoon?
