Chelsea morning news: Youngster puts boot in on Ozil; Hazard 'world-class'

All the news and gossip from Stamford Bridge this morning.

Chelsea are top of the Premier League - after an Eden Hazard hat-trick led them to a 3-0 win against Newcastle United.

The performance earned plaudits from his boss Jose Mourinho - who stated:

“Eden Hazard is this player, a player for some reason he didn't get one single player of the month in this Premier League. And this performance today was just different than other performances because today he scored three goals. But he had other performances exactly the same as he did today, so it is quite surprising for me that such a young player with what he is showing this season is never player of the month.”

Team-mate Gary Cahill was also full of praise for the player. The England international said of the in-form Belgian star:

"He's producing some world-class football for us at the minute. He was the difference in the first half and thoroughly deserved his hat-trick and at the minute, he's playing some great football.”

Real Madrid are said to be planning a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois at the end of the season.

The Belgian is currently on loan at their cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid from the Blues - and is known to not want a return to London if it means he will be a bench player.

With Petr Cech still in charge at Stamford Bridge the stopper is said to be considering his future at the club.

The twist in the tale is that current Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had reportedly ordered a dossier to be complied on the player while he was Madrid boss last season.

Meanwhile highly rated Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek has put the boot in to Arsenal and their record signing Mesut Ozil.

Ozil was poor against Liverpool yesterday - and Loftus-Cheek Tweeted:

"Ozil this Is the prem mate, it’s not all #niceynicey over here!"
