Think you could go toe-to-toe with a Xenomorph? Alien: Isolation puts you in that exact scenario, to scare you senseless!
The folks over at Creative Assembly and Sega have released some new screenshots of their upcoming title Alien: Isolation, and they sure do look pretty.
Set 15 years after the events of Alien, on a decommissioned trading station, you play Amanda, the daughter of Ellen Ripley (the main protagonist from the movies). You must survive and work your way through an 'increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien’, the developers say. You won’t have the weapons and firepower, like a trusty M41A Pulse Rifle you see in the movies, instead you must scavenge and improvise to stay alive.
Also described by the developers is the Alien itself - stating that you will ‘Experience persistent fear as a truly dynamic and reactive Alien uses its senses to hunt you down and respond to your every move.’ Now, any of you that have seen the Alien movies will know how truly deadly those Xenomorphs are, so if the game can really make you feel the fear of being hunted down by one of those acid blooded bad-boys then you should definitely be looking forward to release day.
Take a look at some of the latest released, deeply atmospheric, screenshots below.
