Ligue 1 Logo

Javier Pastore gave PSG the lead, but a second half deflected goal by Fabinho gave Monaco a share of the points.

Below are the ratings for both sides.

AS Monaco

GK –Danijel Subasic 8.5/10 - Made some game saving, fantastic saves, definitely Man of the Match.

RB – Fabinho 8/10 - Scored the equalising goal and was a constant threat down the right-flank. Was able to push forward more in the second half.

CB – Eric Abidal 6/10 - Did fairly well to deal with any threat from the PSG front-line, but nearly made a huge mistake at the end.

CB – Ricardo Carvalho 6/10 - Quiet game, made a couple of decent tackles, covered Fabinho well on the right.

LB – Layvin Kurzawa 7/10 - Was more effective in the first half, got forward well, did a decent job against Moura in defence. Quieter in the second half.

RM – James Rodriguez 6/10 - Mostly ineffective will playing on the right of the 4-4-2, played central in the second half and was better, set up Fabinho for the goal. Overall not his best night.

CM – Joao Moutinho 7/10 - Showed some nice touches, enjoyed more of the ball when able to play further forward in the second half, but still never took control of the game to Monaco’s advantage.

CM – Jeremy Toulalan 6/10 - Solid game, played very deep in the second half, nearly as a third centre-back, allowing the full-backs to push on and cause problems.

LM – Lucas Ocampos 6/10 - Had a good first half without doing anything of any real note. Removed at half-time.

CF – Valere Germain 6/10 - Played a good game for the best part of an hour. Intelligent touches and some nice movement. Didn’t have any real chance to cause a problem to Sirigu.

CF – Emanuel Riviere 5.5/10 - Poor game. Never really got into any good positions, never got inbehind to utilise his pace.

Substitutes

Geoffrey Kondogbia (45’) 6/10 – Added some more drive and determination to the home side in the second half. Helped break up PSG’s midfield play.

Dimitar Berbatov (65’) 5/10 – Made no telling contribution, one or two flicks, nothing to change the game.

Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco (85’) 5/10 – Virtually no time on the ball to make a contribution.

---

Paris Saint-Germain

GK – Salvatore Sirigu 7/10 - The quieter of the two goalkeepers but still made a couple of good saves.

RB – Gregory van der Wiel 6/10 - Got forward on occasion, but crosses lacked any accuracy.

CB – Thiago Silva 7.5/10 - Imperious at times at the back, made a great saving tackle in the first half. Unfortunate to have a hand in the equaliser.

CB – Alex 7/10 - Solid performance in the defence, his header set up the opening goal.

LB – Maxwell 6/10 - Gave great support down the left without being able to help create any real chances.

CM – Thiago Motta 8/10 - Very good game. Controlled the midfield with ease. Great passing and protected the defence very well.

CM – Marco Verratti 6.5/10 - Gave the ball away too many times in dangerous areas. Not his best game of late.

CM – Blaise Matuidi 7/10 - Energetic performance, broke forward multiple times in the first half. Quiter in the second.

LW – Javier Pastore 7.5/10 - His best performance for weeks. Showed some nice touches and opened the scoring with a back post header.

RW – Lucas Moura 7/10 - Creative, tricky and played very well at times. Still goes hot and cold and lacks a true end product.

CF – Zlatan Ibrahimovic 6.5/10 - Very quiet night upfront. Only the centre-backs and goalkeeper touched the ball less for PSG. Although he did have a great chance to win the game at the death.

Substitutes

Yohan Cabaye (65’) 5.5/10 - Didn’t have time to assert himself. Will take time to adjust to the PSG midfield.

Jeremy Menez (66’) 5/10 - Had a few attacking chances to make a difference, but was sleeping on defensive duties for the equaliser.

Ezequiel Lavezzi (81’) 5/10 - No real time to get on the ball in the last few minutes.
