Eric Djemba-Djemba was adjudged as one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s worst-ever signings, and has made a surprise move to the SPL.
When Sir Alex Ferguson’s worst-ever signings are mentioned, the likes of Bebe and Massimo Taibi are coined.
However Eric Djemba-Djemba must also be up there in the list of players that arrived at Old Trafford in the Scot’s reign with lots of potential but ultimately proved to be a flop.
The Cameroonian midfielder has made a shock move to St Mirren in the SPL, and was unveiled on Friday to the Scottish club’s fans.
After arriving at Old Trafford in 2003, Djemba-Djemba was being regarded as a potential replacement for Roy Keane.
However the African battler only made 20 league appearances for the Red Devils before being offloaded to Aston Villa.
After a spell at the Birmingham-based outfit did not pan out as expected either, the midfielder has had spells at Burnley, Qatar SC, OB Odense, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Partizan Belgrade.
