Nemanja Vidic’s departure from the Manchester United back four is going to leave a gaping great hole which David Moyes needs to think long and hard over how to fill.
There have already been plenty of names raised as possible summer buys for United with a centre back now likely to be one of Moyes’ priority transfers this summer.
Vidic’s departure means Moyes can go with a similar player in terms of presence and experience or he could choose to invest big in a young defender from one of Europe’s biggest teams.
