I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 7th February 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 7th February 2013…
Jov we go
It was on this day that it become clear that Arsenal had a forward in their crosshairs for the summer - and that forward was Stevan Jovetic. The Montenegrin was being heavily linked with a move to The Emirates 12 months ago - and it was a link that continued into much of the summer.
It was even reported at one point in June that Jovetic was on his way to Arsenal for a medical - after an apparent £20 million fee was agreed.
Of course that did not happen - and he signed for Manchester City for £22 million in July - a move that has proved to be an underwhelming experience for both club and player so far this summer.
Talk to Frank
Chelsea were preparing a U-turn on the subject of Frank Lampard. It had been well believed up until this day a year ago that the club legend would be on his way out of Stamford Bridge when his contract expired at the end of the season.
In the end he broke Chelsea’s goalscoring record and was one of the team’s best players toward the end of the season - and he did receive a new deal in May.
Not Carra-ing on
Jamie Carragher announced that he would be retiring at the end of the season. It was something of a shock announcement considering he had recently made himself a fixture in the Liverpool team under Brendan Rodgers.
But Carragher stated:
"It has been a privilege and an honour to represent this great club for as long as I have."
He is now a pundit on Sky Sports Monday Night Football.
