Award winning political drama has been signed for continued run with Netflix, which releases second season on 14 February
Netflix has confirmed that there will be a third season of its hit drama House of Cards.
"We start shooting season three soon," actress Robin Wright told reporters in New York on Tuesday.
The critically acclaimed political drama is returning for its second season on 14 February, when Netflix will release the entire season simultaneously.
House of Cards was the first non-network television programme to win an Emmy, when David Fincher took home the award for best directing. Lead actors Kevin Spacey and Wright were also nominated.
It is a remake of the 1990 BBC series of the same name. Wright, who directed episodes in the second season, said she hopes to direct in season three as well.
