Edinson Cavani's agents are claimed to be in London for talks over a potential move to the Premier League for the Uruguayan, write The Mail.
PSG are likely to be resistant to selling, but the striker's agents are at least claimed to be prepared to find out the level of interest in their client before making their next move.
Cavani is said to be unsettled in Paris despite his impressive goal record of 17 in 22 starts, mainly due to the fact he is playing out wide to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the centre-forward position.
Even before news broke of his agents heading to London for talks, a poll was set up on the Le10Sport website in France, asking fans where they expected the £54 million man to be playing in 2014/15.
Predictably, the top answer was his current side, Paris-Saint Germain, with 67 per cent of votes. But what about the alternate options?
The results were clustered together closely, and there was no runaway winner, but it is Premier League side Chelsea who French football fans believe are most likely to land the striker who once almost knocked them out of the Champions League with Napoli.
Chelsea (8%), Manchester United (7%), Real Madrid (7%), Arsenal (5%), Barcelona (3%), Manchester City (3%).
While the results do not necessarily mean anything, the fact 33 per cent of fans polled believe Cavani will move on says a lot about the predicament and transfer rumours surrounding a club record signing who signed a five-year-deal in the French capital last July.
It's a transfer battle which will no doubt edge on beyond the World Cup, and with his Uruguay side facing England in the summer, expect the saga to be one which dominates the back pages leading up to, during, and beyond the tournament.
