A round up of the latest news from Arsenal’s youth teams and the club's younger stars.
Yaya Sanogo returned to action as Arsenal's under-21 side won 0-0 in the under-21 Premier League against Southampton this afternoon. The 21-year-old forward has been out with a back injury but completed an hour in the win before he was subbed.
The Daily Mail has suggested that Arsenal are one of five clubs interested in signing Hamburg star Jonathan Tah. The Gunners are reportedly monitoring the 18-year-old’s situation closely despite the fact he recently signed a new a long term contract with the German club.
Arsenal youngster Chuks Aneke has continued his good form for loan side Crewe Alexandra. He netted a brace in Crewe’s recent 3-0 win against Sheffield United and continues to tick every box from his loan deal that Arsene Wenger would have been hoping for.
Joel Campbell has also maintained his good form for Greek giants Olympiakos, bagging the winner in a recent 2-1 win against Panaitolikos with a superb penalty kick.
The club took the decision to send Daniel Boateng on loan to Scottish side Hibernian until the end of the season. The 21-year-old defender has featured prominently for the under-21 side this season and will be looking to develop his first team experience at the club.
Boateng has revealed that he’s been surprised by the standard and physical nature of Scottish football.
“From what I've seen the Hibs squad is very good. But the game is so physical in Scotland. I've taken part in one training session for Hibs and I didn't expect it to be as physical,” he told the Daily Record.
