Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Townsend injury boost and Spurs watch PSG youngster

A round up of the latest news stories about Tottenham Hotspur.

Tim Sherwood has confirmed that Andros Townsend and Mousa Dembele are available to face Everton this weekend.

Townsend has been struggling with a hamstring problem while Dembele was forced to miss last weekend’s clash against Hull City.

“We're positive on Andros and he has a chance, he's up for selection - He's fine (Dembele). He's back out training again and he's in the frame to start against Everton,” Sherwood told Tottenham’s website.

Le10Sport has revealed Spurs have been scouting Paris Saint-Germain star Adrien Rabiot.

The French source first linked Tottenham with looking at the PSG youngster last summer.

So far the 18-year-old has resisted all attempts from the French giants to get him to sign a new contract.

Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen has revealed the squad is happy playing under Sherwood at White Hart Lane.

Vertonghen has described Andre Villas-Boas’ sacking as sad but feels Sherwood has a connection with his important first team stars.

“It's always sad when you have to change manager. Andre did well. He was unlucky at some moments. I think Tim is doing very well. He feels the connection with the players and everyone is happy with him,” he told the Tottenham Journal.
