Giroud 'would choose' Premier League triumph over Champions League

Giroud In Action V Cardiff

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud would rather win the Premier League over the Champions League this campaign.

Olivier Giroud has been speaking to Arsenal fans today on the #AskGiroud Twitter handle - and he had some very good answers to some very good questions.

He made it clear that his favourite goal was the sumptuous close range volley against Tottenham Hotspur. He also said that Branislav Ivanovic is the toughest defender he faces in the Premier League - as well as saying his perfect hair is down to using a hairdryer.

But what about the factor most pressing for all Arsenal fans - when are The Gunners going to bring in some silverware again?

It has been a long wait for the clubs fans - the FA Cup victory in 2005 is approaching the decade anniversary mark, and this season the club look more likely to win a title than ever before.

But which one would you prefer them to win?

It is a curious subject, as every now and again a player will come out and say they want to leave one team because they dream of Champions League football - but now and again the player will say when pushed that winning say a 38 game season is far more impressive and desired.

So what about Giroud?

He was asked this exact question, so how did the exchange go?

So Giroud would obviously want both, but push comes to shove and he would happily choose the Premier League title ahead of European football’s most coveted prize.

And, if they fall short of both this campaign … there is always the FA Cup.
