All the latest news and views from Stamford Bridge.
One of the most seemingly unfathomable transfer stories has cropped up this morning despite the mid-season market closing for trading last Friday, as Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole - already bordering on fringe first team status as Cesar Azpilicueta appears the preferred option for Jose Mourinho - has been linked with a sensational return to the club who schooled him; Arsenal.
The Englishman, a veteran of the game and a proven winner, sees his Stamford Bridge contract expire in June and is free to discuss personal terms with other clubs ahead of a free transfer in the summer.
As unlikely as this move may seem due to the animosity built-up between the player and his erstwhile fanbase, Cole remains on good terms with red-and-white playing staff, as highlighted in a recent Here Is The City article here.
The Mirror, meanwhile, list three players Mourinho may study for summer swoops as not one, but all of Edinson Cavani, Diego Costa and Mario Mandzukic could be recruited, apparently.
One player who may not be leaving the club after consistent reports published regarding potential exits to either Barcelona or Manchester United, is defender/defensive-midfielder David Luiz, who confessed his love for the club to the official website: 'I love to play football, it doesn't matter if I play in midfield or defence. I'm just lucky to play for a big club and it's nice when you can play with very good players like Matic. love to play for Chelsea.'
And finally, Billy McCulloch, the masseur who provided Chelsea's match-defining team-talk against Manchester City, may not have given the best of speeches in terms of words, but he did in terms of delivery.
According to a source at The Express, Billy said: 'Let's go get them, let's get these blokes!'
