AC Milan sport psychologist: Balotelli's a nice, polite lad

A sport psychologist who has been brought in to work with AC Milan's players believes Mario Balotelli is a 'nice lad'.

Enigmatic marksman Mario Balotelli has a reputation for unpredictability but a sport psychologist has spoken out in his defence.

New AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf has enjoyed a positive start to life on the Rossoneri bench and seems to have a good working relationship with Balotelli.

Seedorf has also brought in a leading sport psychologist, Bruno De Michelis, to meet with members of the squad.

De Michelis will be looking to identify some of the mental causes of Milan's poor start to the season, but he seems impressed by Balotelli and also his coach.

"Seedorf has established an adult and professional relationship with Mario," De Michelis is quoted as saying in the Corriere della Sera.

"There's a lot of empathy and everything is based on dialogue. Seedorf is a man who tries to understand people's needs and looks to satisfy them.

"I've only been here a short time but Balotelli seems to me to be a polite and nice lad."

Balotelli is sporting a new Mohican hair style which hairdresser Amos Bersini has explained is designed to bring out the warrior in the striker.
