Piers Morgan’s World XI - how many Arsenal players made the cut ?

Piers Morgan

Controversial Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has named his World XI – but how many are Arsenal players made the cut ?

Piers Morgan is arguably Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and the club's biggest critic – despite being an Arsenal supporter.

Morgan lashed out at Arsenal’s transfer activity (or lack of it) in the January transfer window, accusing Wenger of ‘throwing away the league title’ for failing to sign a top-class striker.

Following the announcement that Arsenal had signed Kim Kallstrom on loan from Spartak Moscow, Morgan sarcastically asked: ‘Who?’ And once the Swede’s back injury was revealed, Morgan lambasted the decision to sign Kallstrom, describing at as ‘disgraceful management.’

Morgan has now decided to Tweet his World XI, which includes three Premier League players.

Morgan's most obvious choice is Liverpool’s Luis Suarez. An Arsenal target during the summer, the Uruguayan’s astonishing 23 goals and seven assists in 19 Premier League appearances this season takes some beating.

Another Premier League player to make his list is Manchester City centre back Vincent Kompany. No surprises here, as the Belgian international has proven to be a rock for City as the Citizens have comfortably had the most solid Premier League defence over the past two and a half years.

And Morgan's the final choice from the Premier League ? Ivory Coast international and Kompany colleague Yaya Toure.

Neither Mesut Ozil nor Aaron Ramsey make the list, despite helping the Gunners to the summit of the Premier League. Will Arsenal and the Arsenal players ever be good enough to satisfy this celebrity fan ?,

Here's Piers Morgan’s complete World XI:
