Tottenham latest: PSG linked with summer bid for Lloris; Dembele could return for key clash

Some of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening.

French Champions Paris Saint Germain could launch a bid for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in the summer according to the Daily Express.

Reports in recent weeks have hinted that the French goalkeeper could be open to a move if Tottenham fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.

PSG reportedly believe a fee of around £16.5million could be enough to prise the keeper away from White Hart Lane.

The president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said he wants more French players to play for the club after signing midfielder Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle United.

Midfielder Mousa Dembele may return to training this week in a bid to be fit for Sunday’s huge Premier League clash with Everton at White Hart Lane according to the Evening Standard.

Spurs currently trail Everton by a point in the league table as both sides have ambitions of finishing in the Champions League places this season.

Jan Vertonghen has recently returned from injury – and in the same article he is quoted saying the side must bounce back from the past two results, a loss at home to Manchester City and a draw away against Hull City.

Vertonghen is quoted saying: ‘We have to bounce back next week in an important game against Everton. We have to be ready for that.

‘I want to finish the season strongly now. Hull was my first game in two months, I don’t suppose you can expect to win everything and play every ball to the right player in the first game, but I’m back and getting stronger.’
