Lot of talk about Toni Kroos being in the market this summer. More likely Bayern-player Mandzukic will be there. Some "bigOnes"which need him— Jan Aage Fjortoft (@JanAageFjortoft) February 3, 2014
Both Bayern Munich stars have been heavily linked with moves away from the Allianz Arena this summer, with Mandzukic pushed further down the pecking order when Robert Lewandowski arrives, while Toni Kroos is struggling to nail down regular first team football.
Arsenal’s need for a top, high profile striker to come in and play alongside Olivier Giroud is clear and according to Fjortoft they have more chance of pulling off that €20 million deal than United have of signing Kroos for £25 million.
Neither deal is likely to happen until after the World Cup and that could cause problems.
Either player could get injured if they feature for their national sides and the interest in them both could sky rocket if they have good tournaments in Brazil, making them harder for Arsenal and Manchester United to sign.
It will be fascinating to see who ends up where.
