Citigroup names new country head for UK

Citigroup has named James Bardrick as Country Officer for the U.K.

Bardrick, 51, takes over from Maurice Thompson, who announced his plans to leave the firm and the industry, according to a memo from the lender obtained by Bloomberg.

Bardrick, who was co-head of corporate and investment banking for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will report to Zdenek Turek, 49, according to the memo from Jim Cowles, chief executive officer for EMEA, and Bill Mills, the CEO for North America.
