Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Daniel Levy to consider radical change in the summer?

A round up of the key news stories about Tottenham Hotspur this morning.

The Mirror has suggested Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is looking to replace Tim Sherwood with Louis Van Gaal at the end of the season.

Sherwood has a contract to the end of next season, but that hasn’t stopped the suggestion that he could be replaced.

Van Gaal was one of the names linked with the Tottenham job when Andre Villas-Boas lost his job.

Tottenham reportedly rejected a last gasp bid from Napoli to sign Frenchman Etienne Capoue.

The Serie A side were linked with the Spurs midfielder throughout the January transfer window.

However, their offer is reported to have been £10 million, short of the €15 million Tottenham asked for.

Head coach Sherwood has backed Roberto Soldado to find some form.

The Spaniard has found the back of the net on just five occasions this season, following his big money move from Valencia last summer.

“It’s just a matter of time before Robbie hits the target again, starts scoring and gets on a run. I’m sure it’s not the first barren spell he’s had. I’m not putting pressure on him and he’s not putting pressure on himself,” he told BT Sport.
