While Liverpool and Dnipro blame each other for Yevhen Konoplyanka's transfer not being completed in time for the transfer deadline, the player's agent is already talking up his chances of a big move.
The winger was reportedly keen on a transfer to Liverpool, and this is something his agent has confirmed.
Speaking to Italian outlet Tuttomercato, Oliver Cabrera stated:
"The player wants Liverpool." Great news for fans for the club, except he adds:
"Italy, Spain, France, Germany. A top league, well."
Asked if the player is unhappy at Dnipro, Cabrera hints at his frustration:
"Happiness is a very complex thing. During the summer we will all again (consider) offers."
"PSG there was also (talk of) but it did not then materialise.
"For the players, everyone wants the top leagues in the world, such as those mentioned above. "
Cabrera is confident will land his big move, and all he has to do is stay patient:
"There were so many interests for him and (he) is intended for a great team."
It was a tough break for Liverpool missing out, but you can only wonder if they had stepped up their pursuit of him sooner whether he would now be registered to them.
Now they will have to wait anxiously until the summer, and hope bridges have not been burned with Dnipro when it comes to trying again for him.
Clearly there will be a lot of interest in Konoplyanka, but Liverpool's interest now, has to bode well in the player's eyes, when the transfer window eventually re-opens.
