The Brazil international reacted angrily after the Blaugrana’s 3-2 defeat to Valencia on Saturday.

Long-standing Barcelona defender Dani Alves has hit out at the club’s fans in spectacular fashion after the Camp Nou side slumped to home defeat against Valencia at the weekend.

Gerardo Martino’s side were beaten 3-2 by Los Che on home soil, allowing title rivals Atletico Madrid the opportunity to take a three-point lead at the table’s summit.

After the game, in which Lionel Messi scored and Jordi Alba was sent off, Alves launched a scathing attack on the Camp Nou faithful.

"It feels like we're playing away from home, there must be a positive connection with the fans,” the South American told journalists after defeat.

"But the buzz in the stands does not help, it sometimes seems that we're playing away.

“We've lost, we must get up. No time for regrets. We should be mature, learn from it so it does not happen again."

Barca face Real Sociedad at Camp Nou in their next fixture, which takes place at Camp Nou in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.
