Mikel Arteta certainly never had any trouble deciding whether to get into theatre or sports.
One player who impressed, as he always does - was Mikel Arteta.
The Spaniard was his usual unassuming but dominating self for The Gunners in the heart of midfield - acting as the pendulum for their clockwork football.
But as long as he realises that football, and having the most incredibly strong hair product known to man, is his best line of work then we will continue to be impressed with the former Everton star.
Just as long as he doesn’t turn his hand to acting!
Some footballers have given the thespian life a go. Vinnie Jones has had a great career on the pitch and on the screen - meanwhile Eric Cantona dabbled in some Shakespearian works and a few films himself.
And who can forget the acting prowess of Bobby Moore, Pele and Ossie Ardiles in Escape to Victory.
But Arteta’s new advert for the Match Attax card game, which I believe are some sort of modern adaptation of Panini’s, will certainly be winning him no Oscar’s.
His wooden appearance was something Keanu Reeves would have been proud of … and is definitely worth a watch…
It is a bit like when Peter Griffin does an advert for Wilkins Hyundai/Subaru...
